Legal Secretary / Bookkeeper

Small litigation law firm seeks experienced Legal Secretary located in North Houston to start immediately. This position requires daily weekday attendance in the office. Applicants should have pleading and discovery experience in cases of a varied nature. Extensive computer experience including electronic filing in state and federal court; knowledge of Microsoft Word, E-mail and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Applicant must be able to handle varied tasks, in varying types of matters and in varying state / federal courts in and out of Texas. The ability to research, learn and adjust to the different requirements of various courts is a must. This position also includes administrative tasks for the firm including payroll, accounts payable, client billing and bookkeeping.
