Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company's accounting operations across multiple entities. Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness for retail, fuel, and franchise restaurant operations.

Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, including bank statements and merchant processing deposits, and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, and inventory.

Support the preparation and filing of sales tax, fuel tax, and other compliance-related reports across multiple states.

Monitor and reconcile fuel inventory, franchise royalties, and vendor payables to ensure proper financial tracking.

Assist in maintaining fixed asset records for store and restaurant locations.

Collaborate with auditors by providing required documentation and insights to support audit processes.

Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data reporting.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related role.

Proficiency in managing general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of sales tax, fuel tax, and compliance reporting requirements.

Familiarity with monthly and year-end close processes.

Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Understanding of inventory accounting and vendor payables.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple entities and locations.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
