Bookkeeper - Construction Industry

Location : Montvale, NJ (onsite)

$70,000 - $90,000 DOE

A well-established construction company in the Montvale, NJ area is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and support ongoing projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities :

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including A / R, A / P, and reconciliations

Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports

Maintain accurate financial records and support monthly closings

Handle payroll and assist with project-based job costing

Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reports

Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and accountants as needed

Qualifications :

3+ years of bookkeeping experience (construction experience a plus)

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel

Understanding of job costing and project accounting

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Excellent communication and reliability
