Data Center Engineer

Schedule : Onsite Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm

Position Summary :
As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our client's data center operations in Aurora, Illinois. You will be responsible for inventory management, including tracking, auditing, and coordinating the movement of hardware equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain a live physical asset database for all hardware
- Receive and document physical asset purchase orders at primary local site
- Coordinate receiving and verification of physical asset purchase orders at remote sites
- Organize and maintain clean storage spaces as hardware needs evolve
- Design and implement continuous updates to the Inventory & Fulfilment process
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
- Perform regular inventory audits of all sites
- Ship and receive hardware between all sites
- Coordinate Return Merchandise Authorization orders with the Procurement team
Skills and Qualifications :
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Must have experience working in a data center
- Ability to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Reliable transportation (role based in Aurora, IL)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Compensation :
- $28-$36 / per hour based on experience
