Job description

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Logistics Health, Safety & Sustainability Advanced Engineer for a full-time job with a client in Ogden, UT . An industry-leading logistics organization is seeking a hands-on safety professional to join their operations-based team.

Salary Range : $100,000 / year to $120000 / year. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate daily operational safety risks across three high-performing sites
  • Conduct observational safety audits and lead new hire orientations & safety trainings
  • Collaborate directly with operations teams on-site – this role is not desk-bound
  • Support safety communications through newsletter articles and alerts

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of warehouse safety or logistics safety experience
  • Extroverted, relationship-focused communicator
  • Skilled in conducting forklift training and familiar with hot work permitting
  • Bonus points for experience in industrial hygiene and hazardous materials management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Power BI a plus
  • Strong presentation and writing skills are a must
