Research Informatics Navigator

Overview

To serve as a consultant and coordinator between Research Informatics and research teams. This role informs researchers regarding the use of informatics resources.

Mentors and trains PIs, research team members, and administrative support staff on all aspects of Children's Mercy Research Institute operations to build a service-oriented research support environment.

Promotes effective teamwork in a rapidly changing multidisciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with researchers to design workflows that make full use of Research Informatics resources.
• Participate in technology and software purchases and technical onboarding.
• Develop documentation and communications to be used throughout CMRI and Research Informatics
• Report progress, issues, and concerns to the appropriate supervisor, project manager, or Research Informatics leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's in biology, statistics, biomedical engineering or clinical field is desired. and 1-2 years experience Experience working in a professional environment required.

Research, lab, or clinical experience preferred.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $30.73 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his / her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and onsite hours at a Children’s Mercy location.

The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
