The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks an Education Program Lead Coordinator to join our team.
- The Education Program Lead Coordinator will assist General Chemistry Lab Supervisor with everyday Chemistry needs; assist in the development, implementation, and setup of general chemistry labs;
- assist with the development and preparation of teaching aids including laboratory manuals, Carmen assignments and laboratory rubrics;
- monitor Teaching Assistant (TA) adherence to grading policies and deadlines; assist Gen Chem Lab Supervisor and TA training coordinator with the training of graduate students, undergraduate students and staff teaching assistants;
- develop ongoing TA training materials; manage and facilitate staff meetings; assist with responding to inquiries regarding Gen Chem courses;
other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : High School diploma or GED. 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education / experience is required.
Desired : Bachelor's Degree with a Major in chemistry or biochemistry. Previous teaching experience in a university setting.
