Role Summary

We are seeking a diligent and adaptable Accounts Payable Clerk to contribute to our payment operations and support our accounting department with basic tasks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in expanding their accounting expertise while contributing to our office's overall efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Verify, code, process, and pay invoices using AvidXchange and Sage Intacct.
  • Handle the full cycle of accounts payable activities including ensuring timely payments of invoices, maintaining accurate records and control reports.
  • Manage vendor relations and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and support the accounting team with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts, as needed.
  • Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Offer administrative support to other departments, such as data entry, file management, and other ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn

  • Position type and expected hours of work

    This is a full-time position. Work days and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
