Overview : As an Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be a vital part of our Medical Affairs Organization, serving as a field-based scientific expert.
Your primary role will involve engaging in scientific exchange with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to enhance understanding of oncology / hematology products, both marketed and in development, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and share deep scientific expertise on Oncology / Hematology products and therapeutic areas, facilitating meaningful exchanges with thought leaders.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional thought leaders to stay informed about emerging healthcare trends.
- Provide accurate, compliant, and balanced responses to inquiries about products, ensuring adherence to regulatory and guidelines.
- Represent at scientific conferences, educational events, and medical meetings.
- Gather scientific insights from interactions with stakeholders and communicate these insights internally.
- Support investigator-sponsored studies (ISS) and Company Sponsored Studies (CSS), including site identification and initiation visits.
- Respond to medical information requests related to products and disease areas.
- Train and support speakers on products.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, R&D, and Commercial teams.
- Contribute to local medical plan strategies and execute tasks within specified timelines.
- Engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area to stay updated on molecules, products, and relevant business topics.
Requirements :
- Education : Doctoral level degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing, or equivalent).
- Experience : 3-5 years of related work experience; minimum 2 years of Oncology MSL experience preferred.
- Technical Competencies :
- Strong planning, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain scientific relationships with key experts.
- Proficiency in synthesizing and communicating complex medical information clearly.
- Knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations governing medical communications.
- Understanding of oncology / hematology customer segments and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with clinical research and project management.
- Leadership, collaboration, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel 50-70% based on geography.
