FINANCIAL DATA ANALYST

Job Summary

VSolvit is looking for a Mid-level Financial Data Analyst to join our Range Systems Engineering team in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division.

As a Financial Analyst on this project, you will be part of a team supporting an enterprise application. The ability to identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues is important in all aspects of this role.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Government to extract financial data from Government financial databases; capture, store, process, analyze, manage, and present financial data; and provide financial reports, as requested.
• Collect and enter financial data into the RS20 Budget Management for Ranges (BMR) system and other RS financial databases / spreadsheets pertaining to range and project budget plans, project funding, and execution.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• 3+ years experience in financial analysis
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Able to work onsite in Virginia Beach daily
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
• If applicable : If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is highly desired
• Prior DoD experience a plus
• Strong analytic, quantitative, logic, and reasoning skills
