About the Role

A Trust Operations Specialist is responsible for the accounting functions undertaken by the Trust department in its administration of trusts, agency accounts, estates, conservatorships, and IRAs. Responsibilities include :

• Posting all transactions on the trust accounting system accurately and without direction.
• Ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and according to client instructions.
• Ensuring all documentation related to the cash transaction is appropriately archived and noted.
• Proactively communicating with clients via phone to advise them of the status of their request.
• Quickly remediating any issues or concerns arising from the client contact.
• Ensuring all procedures related to client contact are adhered to.
• Assisting in cashiering activities related to institutional client conversions and deconversions.
• Developing an understanding of complex distribution activities.
• Demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function.
• Following all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completing all required training.
• Maintaining a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
• Coaching, mentoring, or training others and teaching coursework as subject matter expert.
• Actively learning, demonstrating, and fostering the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.
• Taking personal initiative and being a positive example for others to emulate.

The pay range for this role is $22.61-$26.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
