Service Center Specialist

A Part-Time Service Center Specialist assists the public to obtain licenses, permits and titles in the County Auditor's Mall Service Center Office. This is a public facing, customer-service oriented position in a fast-paced environment.Experience in handling cash in a customer facing role is preferred. Duties include evaluating, reviewing documents for inaccuracies or possible fraud, preparing and processing Minnesota identification card applications, driver's license applications, processing and renewing registrations for vehicles and recreational vehicles, and completing title transfers; accepting and processing passports; issuing Department of Natural Resources (DNR) titles, licenses and renewals; and receiving payments for property taxes. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled.
