Senior People Strategist | Hiring in the USA and Bulgaria

We’re hiring a Senior Client Partner in San Francisco — one of the first in our new Account Management function. You’ll work with some of the most ambitious startups on the West Coast, helping them scale faster, smarter, and with confidence.

You’ll lead a $15M+ portfolio, and partner with product leaders who expect more than status updates — they expect solutions, insights, and strategic growth.

At Vention, we’re building more than a sales engine. We’re building the most adaptable, AI-enabled, client-centric team in our space. Our goal? To lead the AI transformation of custom software development.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a portfolio of VC-backed and product-led accounts across the West Coast
  • Develop tailored expansion strategies rooted in data, insights, and trust
  • Identify new opportunities to cross-sell and upsell across technical services
  • Build deep relationships with decision-makers and technical leaders
  • Partner with internal teams (sales, delivery, legal, marketing) to ensure successful execution
  • Monitor account performance, satisfaction, and health — proactively mitigating risks
  • Contribute to Vention’s client engagement approach, process improvements, and AI adoption
  • Represent Vention at industry events, meetups, and executive forums

What You Bring

  • 5–8+ years of experience in account management, client success, or consulting
  • Proven experience owning a portfolio of $15M+ across 15–30 accounts
  • Strong record of driving retention, expansion, and strategic growth
  • Experience working with fast-paced software development or IT services
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills – especially with CTOs and product leaders
  • Outcome-driven mindset – focused on results, not just relationship maintenance
  • Comfortable using AI tools, CRM data, and automation to increase your impact
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and proactive in managing complexity
  • Compensation

    Base Salary : $85,000 - $95,000. On Target Earnings : $160,000 - $245,000 (base + bonuses)
