Overview

The Specimen Processor I will work with molecular microbiology specimens. Experience in medical terminology and data entry is preferable.

Processors will perform various support activities for laboratory technical staff including specimen receipt and triage, ordering and stocking of materials, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining laboratory workspace.

Responsibilities Receive and process specimens. Identify and accurately label specimens and distribute them to appropriate testing areas.

Organize Lab specimen storage and supplies. Clean and maintain work area and lab equipment. Assist all technical lab staff and leadership with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications High school degree or equivalent; strong data entry skills. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

2 years’ experience as a lab assistant, specimen processor, or relevant experience in a lab is preferred.
