The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies that support business growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement across the organization. This role manages a variety of marketing initiatives ranging from content development and digital campaigns to event planning and internal communications in alignment with company goals.
The S&A|UES Arizona headquarters and laboratory is in Phoenix, near Sky Harbor Airport, and is the home base for the Arizona marketing and business development team. We support our northern and southern Arizona operations and cross-market pursuits.

Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of proposal and qualifications development—from opportunity tracking, intake, and kick-off through submission—ensuring timely, accurate, and compelling deliverables.
Review and interpret client requirements for RFPs and RFQs, and develop production schedules.
Collaborate with technical staff, project managers, and subject matter experts to develop and refine proposal content.
Write, edit, and format proposals / qualifications, resumes, project descriptions, cover letters, and other supporting materials.
Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, formatting, and quality across all submission materials.
Create content for print and digital materials, email marketing, social media, and occasional internal communications.
Support planning and promotion for trade shows, conferences, webinars, and client-facing events.
Collaborate with business development, HR, and operations to align marketing with recruiting, sales, and internal communications.
Maintain brand guidelines and consistent messaging across channels.
Maintain a library of boilerplate content, project descriptions, staff bios, and graphics to streamline proposal development.
Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to inform marketing strategies.
Support industry association participation and events (occasional travel within Arizona).
Assist in marketing planning and business development activities.
Communicate regularly with the Regional Marketing and Communications Director regarding ongoing activities and needs.
Provide support to regional marketing specialists / coordinators as needed.
Perform other duties to support marketing and business development initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on integrated campaign management, content creation, and digital platforms.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging to different audiences.
Proficiency in marketing tools such as HubSpot, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, and social media management tools.
Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with B2B or professional services industries is a plus.
Travel Requirements This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer and standard office equipment.
The role involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
The position requires regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
The physical demands may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
