Global Chief Financial Officer International Fellowship of Christians and Jews Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote)   The Moran Company is pleased to partner with The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews to recruit the organization’s first Global CFO.  Organizational Background The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (The Fellowship) is the leading non-profit building bridges between Christians and Jews to support Israel and the Jewish people worldwide with humanitarian care and lifesaving aid.

Founded in 1983, The Fellowship partners with individuals, faith communities, and organizations across the globe to meet the needs of Israel’s poorest citizens, assist Jews in crisis around the world, and promote understanding and cooperation between faiths.  In 2024, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews reported over $339 million in revenue, providing significant funding to poverty relief, security assistance, and interfaith education programs.

• Met urgent humanitarian needs in Israel and the former Soviet Union, including food, shelter, medicine, and emergency relief.  Protected and supported Israel’s security, equipping first responders, building shelters, and aiding victims of terror.  Fostered interfaith understanding between Christians and Jews through education, outreach, and prayer networks.  The Fellowship maintains a robust, mission-driven culture that values compassion, integrity, and excellence.  Position Summary The Global CFO is a new senior leadership role created to support the charitable non-profit’s growth and global complexity.
• Reporting to the U.S.
• CEO with dotted line oversight of the international finance function, the Global CFO will provide strategic and operational financial leadership that aligns with the Fellowship’s mission and values, ensuring the integrity of the organization’s global financial operations, compliance, and reporting.  The CFO will oversee long-term financial planning, consolidation of global accounts, audit and compliance functions, and will serve as the key advisor to senior leadership and the Board Finance Committee.
• This leader will ensure alignment of financial systems and controls across multiple geographies, optimize integration of systems, and foster a high-performing finance team.  Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Planning  Partner with the VP of Finance, Global COO, and executive leadership to develop and execute The Fellowship’s global financial strategy.  Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support mission growth and sustainability.  Provide financial analysis and recommendations for strategic initiatives, program expansions, and organizational investments.  Cultivate staffing to meet The Fellowship’s long-term strategic goals.
• Build and nurture a culture of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, customer service and support, and mission alignment.  Financial Management and Compliance  Oversee accounting operations, including fund accounting, project restrictions, payroll, revenue recognition, and treasury management.  Provide investment oversight, optimizing value while providing conservation of capital and ensuring liquidity to meet cash needs.  Ensure compliance with U.S.
• GAAP, IRS 990 requirements, international reporting standards, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.  Lead the preparation of consolidated global financial statements and oversee international subsidiary reporting.  Direct external audit processes, coordinating with international offices, and managing relationships with audit firms.   Lead and / or support negotiations for key partnerships and contracts.
• Systems, Processes & Controls Oversee assessment, implementation, integration, and optimization of financial systems.  Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes across global operations.  Implement effective policies for cash management, investments, and reserves in line with Board approved guidelines.  Board and Stakeholder Engagement  Serve as staff lead for the Board Finance Committee, preparing and presenting reports, analyses, and recommendations.  Provide clear and transparent financial reporting to the Board, donors, and key stakeholders.  Foster relationships with banks, investment advisors, donors, and partner organizations.  Team Leadership  Oversee and mentor the US finance staff.

Provide support and guidance to the global financial staff.  Build and nurture a culture of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, customer service and support, and mission alignment.  Build capacity across international finance teams, promoting consistency, accuracy, and professional development.  Professional Qualifications Required :

GAAP and U.S. non-profit reporting and compliance requirements 10+ years of progressively responsible senior financial leadership experience in a complex, multi-entity, or global non-profit or corporate environment Demonstrated expertise in fund accounting, compliance, and audit oversight Experience with global consolidations and multi-currency transactions Proven track record in leading high-performing finance teams  Preferred :
