The Opportunity

Responsible for assisting with Operational Risk and Compliance functions within Banking Operations by adhering to the Company's Compliance Management Program (CMP). Completes routine compliance testing, risk monitoring and reporting. Assists with audit requests within the Department. Responsible for performing all CIP / CDD / EDD processes related to BSA / AML / OFAC as well as assisting with the communication and resolution of findings and issues. Performs all routine SOX, operational risk and compliance control testing for Department. Supports with workflows and conformity between internal / external clients, Business Units, BSA / AML, Operational Risk and Compliance. Analyzes patterns and trends and communicates with the Supervisor to ensure that risks are adequately identified and addressed. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Conduct monthly first line testing across various banking operations units to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Assist in gathering and organizing data for various operations metrics
  • Assist in identifying potential control gaps and trends to management to reduce operational risk across the banking operations group
  • Support process improvement initiatives by routinely analyzing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and assisting in the implementation of enhancements
  • Participate in departmental audit remediation efforts, supporting management in evidence collection, process testing and overall supporting the efforts for a timely resolution of audit findings
  • Support the escalation and resolution of account closures referred by BSA and Fraud Risk teams, exercising discretion and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate handling and documentation, reducing risk exposure for the organization

What You'll Bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; or relevant work experience preferred
  • Minimum three years' work experience with operational risk, compliance and BSA / AML experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in complying with Know Your Customer / Customer Identification Programs, Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence programs.
  • Knowledge of Bank operations, lending and administration products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Banking operational policies and procedures.
  • Possesses intermediate understanding of the risks and controls required to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio etc.).
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, provide consultation and expert advice to management on complex problems based on independent analysis.
  • Ability to identify obstacles and collaborate effectively using a broad range of influencing skills to drive desired results.
  • Ability to take initiative, handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the Business Unit and cross functional departments in a fast- paced environment.

  • Salary Range

    The full-time base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 USD a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
