Job Summary
In this role you will handle incoming calls from customers, agents, and policyholders related to insurance applications or existing policies. You will work in a collaborative environment providing administrative support for the Underwriting department.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to agents and policyholders in a moderate to high-volume call center environment
- Processes corrections or adjusts records when needed, following the appropriate company guidelines
- Reviews, organizes, and forwards information to be escalated for resolution as needed
- Adheres to the established productivity and quality metrics established
- Other tasks and projects as may be assigned
- In this role, you may be required to work extended hours and weekends to support business operations during a catastrophe, such as a hurricane affecting Safepoint's policyholders
Essential Functions
Use telephone and computer systems to communicate with and service customersUse computer system to research information on risksAbility to take at least 50 phone calls per dayAbility to adhere to regular attendance schedule on-siteAbility to obtain and maintain resident Property & Casualty insurance licensing through the Florida DFS, and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states in the continental United StatesQualifications
Min 1 year of Property & Casualty Insurance experienceProperty and Casualty Insurance licenses required (4-40 or 20-44)Passion for customer serviceAdvanced computer skills and insurance systems knowledgeProficiency with Microsoft Office products requiredEnglish - Spanish Bilingual skills is a plusDemonstrated customer service focus requiredExcellent communication skills with ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel and partnersAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentResults driven with strong problem solving and analytical skillsDetail-oriented and exceptionally organizedCompensation and Benefits
