Position Description :
We are seeking a Production Maintenance Technician I to join our team in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and proactive in identifying and resolving equipment issues.
This is a hands-on position that requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of parts (belts, hoses, filters, fluids, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, cylinders, solenoid devices, and other mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct equipment rounds and record operational data (temperatures, pressures, speeds, RPM, etc.).
- Complete and document work orders in the CMMS system accurately and on time.
- Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other industrial equipment as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following OSHA and company safety guidelines (including lock-out / tag-out, HAZCOM, and PPE requirements).
- Communicate effectively with site leadership and customers to ensure alignment on work requests, parts needs, and completion timelines.
- Support process area maintenance and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Education :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant technical training or certifications a plus.Experience : 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or facility maintenance). Equivalent training and experience will be considered.Certifications : Valid driver's license required. Forklift and lift equipment certifications preferred (can be obtained on the job).Technical Skills : Ability to read maintenance instructions, write reports, and effectively present information in team or customer settings.Physical Requirements :Ability to stand, walk, climb, and use ladders / lifts for extended periods.
Ability to lift 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.Comfortable working in industrial environments with safety equipment (steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, etc.).Why Join Us? :
