The opportunity : Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering IT projects to schedule, budget, and quality. The role requires mastery of the technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as portfolio management, program management, methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Senior Project Manager must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers. The role will primarily focus on EY's Real Estate construction projects and the deployment of office technology including but not limited to; AV, Network, Print, IoT solutions, Smart Lockers and Workstation devices.
Your Key Responsibilities
Skills and Attributes for Success
Proven experience managing IT projects with accountability for delivering technology solutions in large, complex construction projects, typically valued up to $10 million and lasting 12 to 18 months. Mastery of project management methodologies, tools, and templates, with a focus on technology deployment in construction settings. Strong customer focus, characterized by openness, trust, and a commitment to delivering on promises. Experience managing contracts to ensure compliance from vendors and suppliers in technology-related agreements. Familiarity with both packaged and bespoke systems and infrastructure, ideally in an international construction context. Ability to manage multiple large, complex projects simultaneously, particularly in technology deployment. IT background with experience across the office technology spectrum and familiarity with product and solution life cycle. Knowledge of industry-standard project methods, tools, and techniques relevant to technology integration in construction. Strong team collaboration skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Leadership in applying IT methodologies, processes, and standards for project management in construction technology deployment.
To Qualify for the Role You Must Have
A degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience. 15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment. 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, particularly in construction-related IT projects. Relevant experience in technical fields such as deployment / implementation, and infrastructure within the construction industry.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
Project management certification (PMI / CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2). Familiarity with ITIL v2 or v3. Work experience in a professional services industry, particularly in a construction based technology deployment role.
What We Offer You
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $116,300 to $217,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,600 to $247,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
