Pete’s Fresh Market (PFM) is a family owned and operated supermarket and one of the leading independent grocers in the greater Chicagoland area. With 17 established locations and more on the way, the ideal candidate will implement loss prevention procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent and minimize theft, and reduce shortages and fraud. Must be able to multi-task. The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and the desire to take initiative. It is essential that this candidate possess a warm and welcoming personality. This person must demonstrate Pete’s Market Four Pillars : Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Service.

Essential Functions and Duties :

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Maintain safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
• Investigates suspicious customer and / or employee activity.
• Audits and investigates sources of known losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Benefits

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience, and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.

Hourly rate for Suburban Stores is $15-$20

Hourly rate for City of Chicago Stores is $16.60-$20
