National Account Manager
We're seeking a National Account Manager to lead growth initiatives and manage strategic relationships with CPG retail customers in the Central and Eastern United States. The ideal candidate will reside in the Central or Eastern U.S. and have proven success developing and managing retail and private-label accounts within the consumer packaged goods industry.
This role will oversee a meaningful portion of Teasdale's revenue across a diverse portfolio of products, including canned and dehydrated beans, tortillas, tortilla chips, taco shells, meal kits, hominy, and salsa. The National Account Manager will drive profitable growth by expanding distribution, developing new customer partnerships, and strengthening existing relationships across key retail customers.
The position requires a collaborative, strategic, and results-driven sales leader with strong knowledge of the CPG landscape, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.
This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, with up to 50% travel required.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow existing CPG retail customer accounts with support from internal teams.
- Drive market penetration and customer expansion within the Central and Eastern U.S. through in-person meetings, joint business planning, food shows, and regular account reviews.
- Identify and target new customers aligned with Teasdale's manufacturing capabilities and product categories.
- Lead the full new business life cyclefrom concept to commercialization and post-launch performance tracking.
- Develop annual business plans and sales forecasts by customer, delivering key business and financial targets.
- Build strong, multi-level relationships with key decision-makers at major retail accounts.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop compelling customer selling stories and ensure flawless execution.
- Provide regular demand and forecast updates to ensure accurate planning and on-time, in-full delivery.
- Monitor and analyze category trends, pricing, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
- Manage customer portal processes and systems such as Trace One, Global Data Sync, and other retailer-specific platforms.
What You'll Need
