Director Nursing RN
Directs services, workflow and resources for one or more assigned nursing areas.
Responsibilities :
- Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
- Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
- Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds.
- Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, administration and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
- Removes obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence and financial effectiveness targets.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Required Credential(s) :
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education :
