Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Structural Engineering) to join a premier engineering firm in Los Angeles and San Diego. This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale projects across commercial, healthcare, education, aviation, and residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and lead structural engineering projects from concept through completion
Supervise project teams (engineers, BIM designers) ensuring quality delivery
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants on design solutions
Conduct technical design and detailing for large-scale structures
Ensure compliance with building codes, seismic regulations, and industry standards
Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts
Qualifications :
Masters degree (or higher) in Structural Engineering (U.S. university required)
SE License (required)
8+ years structural engineering experience
Expertise in Type I steel and concrete structures
Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation projects
Strong leadership, client management, and project management skills
Preferred :
Seismic evaluation & retrofit experience (ASCE 41)
Experience with DSA and HCAI / OSHPD projects
Mission Critical Facilities experience
