The purpose of this position is to support the labdaytoday activities including coordination of lab experimentsprocedures animal colony management and supply ordering / trackingand safety management.
The position will also assist with dataacquisition and analysis.

Statement of Work Details
Plansexecutes and arranges laboratory experiments new techniques andprocedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating toscientific research.
Performfundamental procedures required for research projects.
Follow established procedures and protocols; utilizeaseptic technique to perform experiments.
Perform a variety of laboratory techniques andprocedures.
Plan and execute experiments for invitro and in vivo studies including cell culture Western blottingand immunofluorescence / immunohistochemistry.
Perform experiments on samples according to protocols.
Perform routine experiments and tests; follow establishedprocedures and protocols.
Operateslaboratory machines and instruments; and prepares specimens andequipment for use.
Work with staffon processing specimens for embedding according toprotocols.
Prepare materials and equipment forexperiments.
Maintain stocked supplies andrecords of working reagents including fixatives buffers solventsand staining.
Process and organize multiplesamples simultaneously.
Work with a variety ofroutine and specialized laboratory instruments and equipment in thelaboratory.
Ensure that all specimens andequipment necessary for experiments are available and in goodorder.
Prepare specimens and equipment for usein the laboratory.
Perform processingdescription and analysis of specimens.
Performs sample management andstorage.
Store new samples updatedatabase retrieve samples with proper authorization.
Upkeep sample and database inventory; monitor overallsample inventory.
Retrieve catalog and processsamples including but not limited to blood and tumortissue.
Perform quality control proceduresnecessary to ensure the accuracy of each test system sampleprocessing storage and inventory of samples.
Maintain inventory system and sample storage according to outlinedguidelines.
Ensure that policies and proceduresregarding sample retrieval and use are followed.
Perform processing description and analysis ofsamples.
Work with staff to implement storageand distribution of biological samples for future scientificresearch.
Analyzes documents andreports on all procedures performed.
Convey and discuss research results with team labmembers.
Update and maintain written laboratoryrecord of the work.
Collect and enter researchdata into laboratory notebooks and databases.
Assemble manipulate and format test results.
Maintain and update laboratory notebooks and databases; and enterexperimental data into spreadsheet and conduct statisticalanalysis.
Collect data and prepare for analysisand interpretation.
Work with staff on the maintenance oflaboratory logs and databases.
Analyzesummarize and interpret data obtained from research studies;evaluate for completeness and validity.
Drawconclusions about the results as related to the ability of theexperiments to answer the questions posed.
Interpret results of initial analysis to reveal conclusions andshortcomings.
Maintains inventory oflaboratory supplies.
Ensure thatsupplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary formaximum efficiency in the laboratory.
Cleans and sterilizes instruments glassware andequipment.
Work with staff to coverglassware washing media preparation and autoclaving.
Clean glassware and microscopic slides.
Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment such as glassesmetal instruments sinks tables and test panels.
Ensure that adequate clean inventory is available for immediateusage.
Plan execute and arrangelaboratory experiments new techniques and procedures; and performslaboratory techniques relating to scientificresearch.
Perform fundamentalprocedures required for research projects.
Perform routine experiments and tests including tissue culture cellseparation protein and quantitative and qualitativeanalysis.
Perform primary cell culturetechniques and immunohistochemistry.
