Senior Sales Executive

The Senior Govt. Sales Executive will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in the government sector across the states of New Jersey and Delaware. This role will require travel to various locations within the territory as well as virtual meetings. The successful candidate will have proven experience in consultative selling, relationship building, opportunity creation and account management. They will also possess strong knowledge of our product proposition and marketing strategies to effectively communicate value to potential customers. Additionally, they should demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with proficiency in web-based technology such as Microsoft Office suite applications like CoPilot, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

About the Role : In this opportunity, as Sr. Sales Executive you will :

  • Develop new business opportunities through face-to-face interactions at customer sites or via telephone / email communications;
  • Identify key decision makers within each organization being targeted;
  • Conduct customer needs assessments to determine how best we can provide solutions tailored specifically towards their requirements;
  • Utilize sales technology tools such as Salesforce CRM software program to track progress made during conversations held with prospective buyers;
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development) when needed;
  • Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional service levels while maintaining positive relationships built over time;
  • Create partnerships with external stakeholders including vendors, suppliers etc.;
  • Effectively manage time allocation between different tasks assigned;
  • Maintain accurate records related to sales activities undertaken;
  • Stay abreast of changes occurring within industry verticals being served so as not miss out on any emerging trends which could lead to additional revenue streams being generated down the line;
  • Attend conferences / seminars / workshops etc., where relevant topics are discussed relating directly or indirectly to products offered by company;
  • Engage in continuous learning processes aimed at enhancing skill sets currently possessed;

About You : You're a fit for the role of Sr. Sales Executive, if you have :

  • Bachelor's degree required; Minimum five years of relevant work experience preferably gained within B2B environment ideally involving complex sales cycles;
  • Proven track record demonstrating success achieved through effective relationship building techniques combined with ability to influence decisions made by senior level executives;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong presentation capabilities necessary for delivering professional presentations both online and offline settings;
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality standards set forth by organization;
  • Ability to think critically and creatively when faced with challenging situations or problems requiring innovative solutions;
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with problem solving abilities essential for navigating complex sales cycles successfully;
  • Highly organized individual capable of managing time effectively ensuring deadlines are met consistently;
  • Proficient user of computer systems and associated software programs commonly found within office environments today (MS Office Suite).

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $128,100 - $237,900. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
