VP of Finance – Nonprofit Organization (Base up to $165K)
A well-established, expanding nonprofit located just south of Boston is looking for an experienced Vice President of Finance to guide the financial strategy and day-to-day fiscal operations of a multi-location organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This leader will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and internal controls, while managing a team of five and serving as a key partner to the CEO, President, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee.
Compensation : $150,000 – $165,000 base salary
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct the monthly close process, financial reporting, forecasts, and annual budget development
- Manage core accounting functions, including A / P, A / R, reconciliations, journal entries, and contract billing
- Deliver financial presentations to senior leadership, the board, and relevant committees
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with nonprofit and public‑sector regulations
- Oversee cash flow, annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with banks and external partners
- Lead, mentor, and support the finance team
- Spearhead system enhancements, including a major accounting‑system upgrade
Qualifications
