Compensation : $20-$35 Hourly, DOE. Competitive benefits after 60 days, company sponsored 401k with employer match, vacation time based on tenure plus six paid holidays per year.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Preventative Maintenance Technician (Lead PM Tech) who will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs at our various plants throughout Southeast Louisiana. The Lead PM Tech will service plant equipment, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and work to ensure minimal downtime. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, excellent communication, leadership and a commitment to safety. At times the Lead PM Tech will work independently and at times will work with other members of the maintenance or operations department. The Lead PM Tech will direct the work of other Preventative Maintenance Technicians and will report directly to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify issues or potential issues that are in need or will need repair, service or replacement
- Enforce safety rules and regulations, observing safe work practices
- Train Preventative Maintenance Technicians on various inspections, maintenance and safety procedures as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix plants and plant equipment including but not limited to mixers, conveyors and batching equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal plant operations
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with Preventative Maintenance Technicians, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary
- Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas
- Direct daily work of PM Techs, identifying areas of need and areas of improvement
Qualifications :
3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in the concrete or construction industryStrong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of ready mix plant operations and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsDemonstrated leadership skills, ability and experienceExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently with minimum oversight and ability to work as a teamStrong communication skills including ability to train or coach othersAbility to work in various weather conditionsValid driver's licenseAbility to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends as neededFundamental knowledge of welding is a plusPhysical Requirements :
