Full-Time Locum Tenens | Monday–Friday | No Nights, Weekends, or Call

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a high-performance Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care clinic in Gilroy, California .

This is a full-time locum tenens assignment offering predictable weekday hours, a supportive clinical environment, and a well-balanced mix of occupational health, urgent care, and preventive medicine. If you’re looking for a stable, low-stress outpatient opportunity — this one is built for you.

Assignment Highlights

Location : Gilroy, California
Setting : Outpatient Occupational Medicine & Urgent Care
Schedule : Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Start Date : December – ongoing
Patient Volume : Steady, manageable daily census
EMR : Proprietary point-of-care system (streamlined, minimal clicks)

Clinical Scope & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses

Perform pre-employment, DOT, surveillance, and return-to-work physicals

Provide same-day urgent care for minor illnesses and injuries

Order / interpret diagnostic tests and imaging

Deliver patient & employer education on safety, prevention, and return-to-work expectations

Collaborate with onsite support staff, clinic leaders, and centralized medical management

Maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, HIPAA)

Complete documentation timely and accurately in a user-friendly EMR

Candidate Requirements

Licensure : Active & unrestricted California NP or PA License

Certifications :

BLS (required)

DOT / FMCSA Certified or willingness to obtain prior to first shift

Experience :

1–2 years in OccMed, Urgent Care, Primary Care, or Emergency Medicine preferred

DEA : Active & unrestricted

Attributes : Strong communicator, adaptable, autonomous, and confident managing low–moderate acuity adult patients
