Job description
A company is looking for a Pre-Certification Coordinator I (Remote) - Surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Initiates and facilitates the pre-determination process with insurance companies
Maintains daily surgery / procedure schedules and communicates with physicians regarding their schedules
Documents pre-certifications and notifies the hospital utilization / billing department as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
No specific certifications required
Associate degree preferred
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
