Logistics Technician
Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent. At least 4 years of directly related experience. Knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics processes, including inventory management, warehousing, packaging, handling, and transportation. Good communication skills to comprehend, follow directions, and convey data. Good problem identification and resolution skills. Exhibits a questioning attitude and practices self-checking.

Includes properly handling and storage of radioactive materials and hazardous materials. Has the ability to learn new tasks, skills, equipment operation, and job responsibilities for continued growth in the company. Has the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, scales, and various small hand tools, etc. in the daily operation of the job. Has the ability to accurately enter / scan / track completed production data into computerized tracking system. Must possess mechanical aptitude. May be required to lift up to 50lbs., bend, stoop, and remain standing for long periods of time. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must possess basic computer skills.

As a Logistics Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include : Responsible for the receipt and shipment of all uranium entering and leaving the Richland facility. Refurbish licensed shipping containers to safely transport nuclear fuel in public transit. Assists with inventory management and storage of uranium and container hardware components. Manages and monitors inventory levels. Ability to operate a forklift and perform basic computer entry / skills. Be able to work in different environments / elements (inside / outside / on tractor trailers) and work in a variety of positions including stand, walk, kneel and crouch.
