Summary : This position supports the OhioHealth Marketing and Communications Department by translating strategies into written solutions that achieve OhioHealth system growth and brand awareness goals.

The Content Manager will write consistently on-brand, effective copy, intended to engage a variety of audiences. The position is responsible for developing messaging across many service areas and for a range of audiences.

The position will need to stay aware of larger systems messages while developing more specific messaging for individual service lines and / or audiences.

They should be the department's point person for all things content, editing copy for marketing managers, making recommendations on the best writer for projects and managing the work of external partners.

Ability to individually manage projects as well as collaborate with the creative team, project managers and / or external partners on more complex, strategic projects is essential.

Responsibilities include original content, editing, reviewing copy for tone and voice, and managing and reviewing the work of external content resources.

Content channels include print, digital and social and support all clinical programs and care sites across the organization.

Ability to oversee and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment to ensure multiple project deadlines are met is essential.

This position requires a well-organized professional, who is creative, flexible and a problem-solver. Must have strong communication skills to build relationships and present their work in a compelling way.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

  • Field of Study : advertising, journalism, communications or related field.
  • Years of experience : 7-10
  • Years of experience in corporate or agency setting

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Advertising, journalism, communication or related field .Seven to ten Years of Experience in corporate or agency setting .

Excellent writing and editing skills. Experience writing within corporate brand voice and tone standards. Experience managing and editing the work of other writers or project managers.

Skilled in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Understands hierarchy and how to organize information. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of how to write for digital channels. Seven to ten years of full-time writing Experience in a corporate or agency setting with a strong portfolio.

Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and conceptual-thinking abilities. Ability and willingness to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet strict deadlines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Editing for both print and digital channels. Original writing for both print and digital channels

Overseeing and reviewing the content of freelance writers or marketing managers

Responsible for managing individual workload as assigned by Creative Director or the traffic managers to meet deadlines on a daily basis.

Support day-to-day content requests including a variety of marketing collateral and communication materials, from template, quick-turn pieces to larger, conceptual campaigns with multiple components.

Demonstrates an understanding of content for digital applications. Responsible for collaborating with the digital team to understand needs and functionality on more complex content requests.

Responsible for maintaining and updating current style guide standards. Participates in project kick-off meetings and brainstorm sessions as needed.

Supports the Creative Services team by helping build and maintain organization systems to efficiently share brand assets.

Responsible for continually staying abreast of emergent trends, technologies, and techniques.
