A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join its growing team in the Boston market. The ideal candidate will support the successful delivery of K–12, higher education, and institutional construction projects , ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to oversee all phases of assigned educational projects, including preconstruction coordination, subcontractor management, schedule tracking, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Support overall project planning, coordination, and execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor procurement, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Monitor project schedules, progress updates, and quality control documentation.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, architects, and consultants.
• Ensure site activities comply with safety standards, design requirements, and project objectives.
• Contribute to a collaborative, detail-oriented project culture focused on excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

💰 Compensation : $125,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + comprehensive benefits, 401(k), and performance incentives.
