Director of Engineering Career Services
Description of Work
The Director will provide visionary leadership and oversight of the services, programs, and operations of the College of Engineering Career Services unit.
This includes leading a high-performing team to deliver innovative and effective career-related programming, services, and communication to undergraduate and graduate engineering students, alumni, employers, and faculty / staff.
The Director is responsible for leading strategic planning initiatives, including collaboratively developing, implementing, and assessing strategic goals and outcomes for the office in relation to the College and University’s strategic plans and reporting results to internal and external stakeholders.
This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the career paths of students and fostering connections between academia and industry.
The Director will also manage employer engagement strategies and collaborate with faculty, staff, student organizations, and career services partners to enhance employer and alumni engagement efforts and increase full-time and internship opportunities for engineering students.
The Director serves as an advocate for Engineering Career Services with college leadership and internal and external stakeholders and represents the College on matters related to career development and employer engagement.
