Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Jessup, MD that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.Position Summary : The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports
• Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices in accordance with company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
• Support internal audits and compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within AP operations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
