Project Architect (Retail)

Lawrence Group is a building design, development, and project delivery firm headquartered in St. Louis with offices in Austin, Florida and New York. With 170+ employees, Lawrence Group offers architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, furniture procurement, and graphic design services to a wide variety of clients, including housing, hospitality, healthcare, academic, and retail.

Lawrence Group’s New York office is seeking an experienced Project Architect with 5-10 years of architectural design experience related to retail and roll-out design work in a professional office environment to join our New York Design Studio. Architectural licensure is preferred. The office is a boutique design office with around 10 architects and designers with a focus on design forward projects ranging from Hospitality, Health and Wellness, and Retail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, project management, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in both retail and hospitality sectors. They will play a key role in leading projects and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.

This position may lead and mentor staff and is responsible for leadership, performance management within its department if assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position requires no minimum ability to lift, bend or stand.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary.

Travel

Moderate travel is expected for this position.
