About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Banking Operations to lead the launch of a full-service, ethical digital banking and neobank offering. This role is pivotal in architecting the operational engine for the new business line, with a focus on building, scaling, and leading a world-class, multi-jurisdictional banking operations function. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, function building, and ensuring the operational bedrock is in place to support a seamless, compliant, and hyper-efficient operational ecosystem. This includes governance of BaaS and sponsor bank relationships, end-to-end customer operations, financial crime and risk framework, and operational readiness for scaling.

Applicants must have 7-10 years' of progressive leadership experience in banking operations within a fintech, neobank, or regulated financial institution, with a proven track record in BaaS or managed-services partnership models. Deep domain expertise in US and UK payment systems, card operations, and treasury / reconciliation is essential, as is a strong background in financial crime compliance and knowledge of regulatory landscapes. The role requires an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels. The Head of Banking Operations will be at the forefront of the company's mission to create an inclusive, ethical, and interest-free financial ecosystem, and must be deeply aligned with this vision.
