Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineer - Gas Utility Pipeline to join our southeast engineering team.

With expanding opportunities in the region with a variety of different clients, the ideal candidate will join our high achieving, fast-paced team.

The project work will be civil engineering design in nature, but experience in utility pipeline with knowledge of multi-discipline coordination is preferred.

This is a hybrid office role and can be in Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Tampa.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Natural Gas and / or Liquid Petroleum Pipeline Alignments & Installation Methods.
  • Leading, growing and mentoring staff supporting the achievement of professional career goals.
  • Effectively participate in all phases of project delivery.
  • Collaborate on a program of design and construction management projects striving for continuous improvement in process development and execution.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to practitioners, clients and laypersons.
  • Executes project to meet or exceed client expectations while meeting industry standard of care.
  • Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and drives the Kleinfelder culture of safety.

Education / Certification

  • Required, Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Preferred, Professional Engineer (PE)

Skills & Experience

  • 4-+ years of related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required.
  • Working understanding of pipeline standards and industry accepted practices.
  • Working knowledge of Natural Gas and Hazardous Liquids systems including engineering design and construction.
  • Computer skills preferred : AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, MS Office
  • Experience in the planning, design, engineering of pipelines, both distribution and transmission, is preferred.
