Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Boca Raton, FL. This position focuses on processing and verifying financial transactions related to insurance claims. It requires 1–2 years Minimum of hands-on experience in accounting or accounts payable . Strong Excel skills are critical for managing data accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Worksite Location : 100% Onsite in Boca Raton, FL

Type : Contract to Perm

Schedule : Monday through Friday

Temp Pay : $21-22.50 / hour

Salary : $45–47k

Excel Proficiency : Ideally Pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s, or someone who has the capability to pick up the concepts quick and learn them easily

Responsibilities

Must have 1-2 years of AP or accounting experience

Process and validate claim payment requests

Review supporting documentation (SOL, EST) for accuracy

Ensure correct communication is sent to insured parties

Confirm payee details using policy documents and contracts

Select appropriate vendors, attorneys, or public adjusters from system lists

Investigate and document payment variances

Resolve complex billing issues using internal systems

Respond to inquiries regarding checks and banking matters

Maintain compliance with internal accounting controls
