Description
We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the machinery industry. One of our clients wants to add a robust Sales Engineer to their team.
Responsibilities include :
1) Prepare and submit a sales quotation to the customer, which includes thermal design, costing, terms and conditions, and specification review and clarifications
2) Communicate and research customer needs to develop a competitive and applicable offering
3) Negotiate with customers to obtain orders while focusing on company profitability and ability to fabricate within quotation constraints
4) Document sales activity of assigned proposals within customer relationship management software
5) Comply with the requirements of the tender review and approval process, as required
6) Attend design verification meetings, if required, to successfully transition order management to projects
7) Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends, government regulations and shop capabilities
8) Source and negotiate pricing and delivery from sub-suppliers during the quotation stage
9) Participate in sales forecasting and planning
10) Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers
11) Maintain a working knowledge of company products and services
12) Work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management
13) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
3) Recent experience in the machinery industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales engineering
