The Dinex Group, restaurant group of Chef Daniel Boulud is seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef for our commissary prep kitchen.

The Prep Kitchen produces all bread and viennoiseries for Chef Daniel Bouluds seven NYC properties. The Junior Pastry Sous Chef is responsible for supervising the production of pastry at all stations, assisting the cooks when needed, as well as supporting the Executive Chef and Pastry Sous Chef in all aspects of scheduling, inventories, food & labor cost and people / kitchen management.

This role w ould assume command and manage all aspects of the pastry kitchen in the absence of the Pastry Sous Chef. They should possess accurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes and standards, train employees, as well as maintain health department, food quality, and company standards.

The ideal candidate will posess an exemplary attitude with at least 3 years of bakery / pastry shop experience, preferably in production or a high volume French environment.
