Lead Operations Coordinator

Job Summary

Purpose

Responsible for scheduling, assigning, managing, and monitoring.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned work within the distribution system results in reliability and high customer satisfaction.
• Work with the line areas and other areas of operations to carry out necessary tasks for operation of the distribution system.
• Provide leadership within the workgroup including mentoring others and aiding to ensure their job performance in all tasks.
• Promote and ensure a safe work environment including use of Human Performance tools.
• Work emergency or storm restoration in regular assigned area and in other areas as needed.
• Work with external and internal customers. Assume Supervisor's duties for a short time in his absence. Review outage information accuracy in DMS / OMS.
• Provides work direction in regard to daily operations and maintenance activities for employees assigned to same shift while working a rotating 12 hour shift schedule;

works overtime as required; works with Team Leaders, Planner Schedulers, and Engineers to develop work packages for shift employees

Minimum education required of the position

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum experience required of the position

7+ years of relevant experience

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Strong knowledge of computers and related technology. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.

Excellent leadership skills. Strong decision making skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.

Ability to work well under pressure. Self motivated and dependable team player. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards.

Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service.

Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Desired : Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change;

Ability to lead and participate in problem solving teams as required.
