Key Responsibilities :
- Contribute actively to multiple open source projects, including Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Open vSwitch (OVS), and Open Virtual Network (OVN).
- Develop and integrate enhancements across various projects to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot and analyze bugs, providing effective resolutions.
- Review designs and patches from team members to enhance the quality of our projects.
- Collaborate with the quality engineering team to ensure all projects are thoroughly tested.
- Publicize the team's accomplishments through blogs, web postings, or presentations at conferences.
Required Skills :
3+ years of networking experience, particularly in L2 / L3 Switching and Routing.Proficient in programming in a Linux environment with a strong command of at least one of the following languages : Golang, Python, Java, or C / C++.Experience with Linux system programming.Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and managing shared resources effectively.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Familiarity with Linux networking or SDN development is a plus.Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift and container technologies (e.g., Docker, CRI-O) is advantageous.Knowledge of DPDK is considered a plus.Understanding of network protocols and experience with NFV / CNF technologies is beneficial.Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as QEMU and KVM is a bonus.Experience leading or contributing to open source communities is an asset.Compensation :
The salary range for this position is $116,270 to $191,840, with actual offers based on qualifications.
