What You'll Do
Architect, design, and develop robust multi-platform software solutions using Java 11 / 17, Spring Framework, and asynchronous messaging with Apache Kafka.
Build scalable, resilient systems leveraging Microservices architecture and NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical priorities.
Lead, mentor, and coach junior engineers to foster technical growth and career development.
Champion automated testing practices, writing comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, and Postman.
Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines utilizing GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar to accelerate delivery.
Optimize application performance through proactive tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
Drive Agile development processes, contributing to iterative delivery and continuous improvement within Scrum / Kanban teams.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of hands-on experience developing high-volume Java applications with Spring Framework, REST APIs, and asynchronous messaging (e.g., Apache Kafka).
Proven expertise in cloud-native development and deployment on platforms like AWS or Azure, including containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong background in Microservices design, event-driven architectures, and working with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
Solid experience implementing and maintaining CI / CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Proficiency with Unix / Linux environments and familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding engineering teams.
Effective communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
