Key Responsibilities Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records Assign correct diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity levels Required Qualifications Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee Must possess relevant coding certifications (CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and / or CCS-P) Experience with multiple specialties, particularly GI, OB / GYN, ENT, and Neuro Good computer skills to learn new systems
