Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Civil Construction Inspector to join our dynamic Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CE&I) team at our Houston, TX office. The Civil Construction Inspector assists in the construction of public and private Infrastructure projects. The Civil Construction Inspector works with other Construction Managers, Design Engineers, Project Managers, Practice Leader, and Market directors for civil engineering projects for the Aviation, Water, and Transportation Markets.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do :

• Increasing responsibilities to perform construction management duties
• Good ability at analyzing and programs independently
• Evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria
• Applies an increased amount of professional judgment and discretion
• Must consistently apply Woolpert procedures
• Good ability at performing quality control reviews and assists with quality assurance procedures within areas of expertise
• Manage the inspections of construction projects and materials for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and approved construction plans / specifications
• Good knowledge at ensuring inspections are completed according to contract protocols.
• Strong knowledge at reviewing and interpreting construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications
• Capable of resolving minor issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
• Communicate with contractors if test failures occur.
• Manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
• Produce daily and weekly reports

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range $65,800 - $98,800 USD
