Job description
A company is looking for a Coding Integrity Specialist II.
Key Responsibilities
Assigns, validates, and / or edits ICD-10-CM and HCPCS / CPT codes for various patient types
Maintains established productivity and accuracy standards while reviewing coding guidelines and policies
Initiates and validates physician queries and ensures compliance with coding guidelines
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HIM / HIT preferred
3-5 years of experience in acute care outpatient coding required
Required coding certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC, or equivalent from AHIMA or AAPC
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS / CPT-4, and APCs
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks
