In 2022, CSUCI was among the first institutions to be recertified with Excelencia in Education’s "Seal of Excelencia” for its facilitation of Latinx student success.

CSUCI is dedicated to supporting its students both academically and financially. In fact, 81% of students receive financial aid, and nearly 59% are first-generation college students. Additionally, 52% of students are Pell Grant eligible, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing access to higher education.
