The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Software Developer to join our fast-moving and agile team. You will play a key role in shaping solutions that empower CDL training providers, help trainees succeed, and simplify compliance with FMCSA regulations. This is a high-impact position requiring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using JavaScript, PHP, pgSQL, Angular, and React.
  • Build intuitive user interfaces for non-technical users, such as CDL instructors and administrators.
  • Implement scalable and secure APIs that support front-end functionality
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and stability.
  • Automate processes like student management, driver record tracking, and ELDT compliance.
  • Implement features to improve operational efficiency for CDL schools, carriers, and government agencies.
  • Develop solutions that ensure 100% worry-free FMCSA audits.
  • Gather requirements, prioritize impactful projects, and work closely with stakeholders.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
  • Research and integrate emerging technologies to improve product performance and usability.
  • Take ownership of projects from design to deployment.
  • Contribute to our collaborative culture, ensuring every feature delivers value to users.

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency in server-side languages like PHP, Python, Node.js, or C#.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript, Angular v18+, and React.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases. NoSQL experience is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
  • Experience with Git and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Ability to independently tackle complex problems and deliver results while managing multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving skills are key in our organization, as is the ability to take a task or project and run with it while working within a team environment.
