The Messenger (Courier) is responsible for operating a ServiceSource van to pick up and deliver mail and packages to mail stops throughout all EPA facilities.
Primary Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.
- Drive vehicle to deliver and pick up inter-office mail, documents, packages, and mail from an originating point to a delivery / pick up point.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, including but not limited to, engine oil, battery fluid, tires, transmission fluid, coolant levels, etc. Ensure that employees / route listing, directions and maps are in the vehicle.
- Operate postage machine and apply postage to outgoing mail.
- Ensure the x-ray scanning of incoming mail and internal distribution items.
- Complete daily mileage and time logs and accurately submit to supervisor.
